The Somontano Wine Route celebrates the European Day of Wine Tourism
The European Day of Wine Tourism will be celebrated in style in Somontano with a premium wine tasting featuring top wines from the D.O. Somontano. This all takes place under the expert supervision of Enodestino.com
Sunday 13th November sees key European wine destinations coming together to celebrate the European Day of Tourism. The Somontano region is no exception and the D.O. Somontano Wine Zone will be hosting a Premium Wine Tasting event featuring wines from the region. This will take place under the expert supervision of Enodestino.com.
The event takes place between 11.00 and 13.30 and will include a fun and educational beginner’s wine tasting course with five of the region’s best wines. To take place please ring Enodestino on 974 316342 or drop them an e-mail on info@enodestino.com. The cost of the tasting is 10€ per person.

The European Day of Tourism
The European Day of Tourism in an initiative that is promoted by RECEVIN, the European Wine Cities Newtork. It is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of November to coincide with the date closest to the festival of Saint Martin. This year almost 50 cities across Spain, Italy and Portugal have signed up to take part and will be holding special events to mark the occasion. This figure has grown since last year.
As a way of highlighting wine tourism across Europe, the participating regions will be holding a wide range of events that will include; guided winery visits; wine and food tastings; visits to place of tourist and historical importance within the wine region and visits to vineyards. All activities aim to provide wine lovers with a new and fun way to enjoy wine tourism across Europe.
