The concert of Spanish group, El Sueño de Morfeo, leaves a lasting impression

Around 3,000 people danced and sang along to the songs of Spanish group, El Sueño de Morfeo, led by singer Raquel del Rosario. Meanwhile, the Gastronomic Fair served an almighty 22,135 portions of tapas and glasses of wine.

Last night belonged to El Sueño de Morfeo. The well-known Spanish group performed under a star-filled sky to an audience ready to enjoy a long-awaited show. It got underway with a performance by local support band “Son Confusión,” who warmed up the crowd with their innovative music and rhythm. As they wound up their set came the moment many fans had been waiting for as El Sueño de Morfeo hit the stage with a performance that delivered 100%.

They rocked the audience with their best known songs from the moment they stepped onto the stage and the enthusiastic participation of all who attended greatly added to the atmosphere. At several points in the show, Raquel thanked the organisation for the opportunity to return to Somontano, making reference to the fact that their concert was cancelled last year due to heavy rain. The group went on to present their third album “Cosas que nos hacen sentir bien” (Things that make us feel good) and left the audience in raptures as they wound up the show.

Gastronomic Fair sees record attendance

The penultimate day of the Gastronomic Fair last night closed its doors with a massive 22,135 portions of wine and tapas having been served to the thousands of people attending. This represents a 17% increase on last year’s Saturday opening. The excellent wine and quality of the local cuisine attract more people each year, confirming the huge success of this initiative, now in its 11th year.

Wine tasting courses full

Further success is reflected in the number of people attending the wine tasting courses held in the San Julian Complex. On Saturday more than 80 people had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of wine tasting as they sampled a wide selection of wines from the Somontano Designation of Origin
