Spanish artist, El Barrio, rocks Barbastro with a concert full of surprises
Close to 4,000 people attended the concert of the famous Andalucian artist as part of his tour to promote his latest single.
A huge clock on the main screen signalled the start of the second night of the Somontano Wine Festival. El Barrio’s concert started with a musical medley that prepared the audience for a magical night proving the artist’s ability to connect with his audience from the very first minute.
Over a period of two hours, El Barrio went through his musical repertoire, alternating songs from his new album, Duermevela, with classics that have made the artist an icon of Andalucian rock. The whole audience sang in unison and a sea of multi-coloured sombreros highlighted the high regard for the artist in Barbastro.
Early that day, José Luís Figuereo, or El Barrio as he is known, was welcomed to Barbastro by Mariano Beroz, president of the D.O. Somontano, and participated in a small pres conference. He signed the Somontano Book of Honour and was presented with a gift of wine.
19,000 wines and tapas served at the Gastronomic Extravaganza
The Gastronomic Fair also enjoyed great success on the second day of the fair as the public enjoyed magnificent tapas and wine until the early hours of the morning. The success of the 11th edition of the festival is fervently backed by the public who are increasing in number year on year.
